St. Louis Center’s fundraiser, a “Taste of Chelsea” is now entering its third year and has been so successful it’s moving to a bigger location at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds.

This year’s version will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds. Advance tickets are $40 each or $45 at the door, with a $5 discount for seniors 65 years of age or older. Children 5 and under are free.

Last year,  there were more than 200 people at St. Mary Parish.

Fr. Enzo Addari, administrator of St. Louis Center, said, “We had such great support from the community during the past two years that we felt we needed more space. Since we didn’t want to turn anyone away, we decided to move it to the fairgrounds to give our patrons and restaurants more room to work with.”

The “Taste of Chelsea” event is a fundraiser for St. Louis Center in Chelsea, a residential care center for children and adults with developmental disabilities that cares for 50 residents.

This year, 21 restaurants are participating providing food, dessert, and specialty coffee drinks. Beer and wine will also be available.

Jim Stock, owner of Village Motor Sales Chrysler/Jeep, has once again agreed to be a corporate sponsor.

The following restaurants and shops are participating:

Artic Breakaway, Back to the Roots, Bearclaw Coffee Chelsea, Biggby Coffee Chelsea, Chelsea Big Boy, Common Grill, Cottage Inn Pizza, Ellie’s Chelsea, Glee Cake & Pastry, Gourmet Chocolate Cafe’, Jet’s Pizza, Jiffy Mix, Jimmy John’s, Laura’s Catering, Main Street Coney Island, New Chelsea Market, Reddeman Farms, Smokehouse 52 BBQ, Stivers Restaurant, Thompson’s Pizzeria, and Zou Zou’s Cafe.
