Parks Commission Plans Tentative Clean Up Date

By Lisa Carolin

Park Clean Up Day is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 14.

That was decided at the Chelsea Parks Commission’s May 3 meeting. Whether or not there is spring clean-up will depend on what sort of list the city’s crew still has left to do.

Also at the meeting, members of the commission talked about plans for the Dog Park and in what sort of order things should be done. One of the priorities is better signage as well as an additional trash can. Also being considered are a shelter, a small dog area, and more trees.

The plan for the Parks Commission sponsored Rec It Tuesday event was finalized at the meeting. It will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. on July 12 at Timbertown and feature Knockerball.

The Parks Commission meets next on Tuesday, June 7 at 9 a.m.
