Please have your dogs checked; multiple cases of Lyme Disease reported in the area

Photo courtesy of Lane Animal Hospital.

As readers know, despite my best efforts, when I had Buzz tested several years ago, he was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Since then, I’ve had him tested and the antibodies are still in his system and probably will be for years to come.

Since then, Buzz has been vaccinated and both he and Ryan are on tick prevention medications year-round.

Please, please, have your dogs tested.

Lyme is treatable, but if you don’t know your dog has it, your dog’s health can be compromised in the future.
