Please support Chelsea Kiwanis concession trailer at Chelsea Community

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Thanks to the folks who signed up to staff a shift at our food concession trailer during the Chelsea Community Fair.

Working alongside Kiwanis members, we are sure to have some fun while feeding lots of hungry fair attendees. Even though the fair officially begins as the Kids Parade winds up at the fairgrounds, we will be serving beginning on Sunday morning every day and evening until late Saturday night.

There are still a few slots to fill to join us as we help raise the $60,000 or so that we use to support worthy groups in the community, especially those directly helping children.

Some examples are scouting, preschool education, Chelsea PTO, St. Louis Center, and Bring Up Grades Program at South Meadows Elementary.

In addition, our funds allow us to put on programs ourselves. Some examples are the Easter Egg Hunt, where we assist the Chelsea High School Key Club,  and the Halloween Party. Please use the Sign Up Genius link to see available spots.

Monday, our meeting will be held at our location next to the main arena, as we will be in full operation.

Normally, Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to enjoy our speakers and learn about Kiwanis.
