Publisher’s Message: An Incredible 2022 Chelsea Community Fair

The start of school, football and cooler evenings have arrived but I’d be remiss if I didn’t note (with a huge smile), what an awesome Chelsea Community Fair it was this year.

Kudos to the all-volunteer fair board members and all the superintendents. You guys rocked it and helped Chelsea Update provide readers with more than 50 stories and photo galleries during the week.

In addition to all the stories and photos I wrote and took, I can’t thank Lisa Carolin, Alan Ashley, Crystal Hayduk and Burrill Strong enough for their contributions to these reporting efforts.

As an aside, I’m proud to report that my hummingbird cross stitch piece caught the eyes of the judges, and was awarded both a champion and a grand champion ribbon. For anyone who might like to learn to cross-stitch, (it’s easy, I promise), I will be teaching a class this fall or winter in the Service Center at the fairgrounds on a date to be determined.
