Publisher’s Message: Thank You to Donors, Taking Some Time Off This Year For Christmas

I’ll be working on my 2022 Chelsea Community Fair cross stitch piece while I take some time off. Since my little hummingbirds are gone for the winter, I’m stitching this one in their honor and hope to have it finished before they return.

As we get closer and closer to Christmas and the start of 2022, Buzz has been bugging me – nonstop, actually – to take some time away from this laptop.

So, I’m obliging him.

I’ll be taking some time off leading up to Christmas through early January to relax and recharge, read and cross-stitch. The site won’t be dark, but there will definitely be less stories. So if you want information published during that time please get it to me as soon as possible.

Buzz and I plan to indulge in his favorite winter activities – going for long walkabouts around the property, (hopefully in the snow), to discover what woodland creatures have been visiting, play fetch, and, of course, train.

It will be the best of both worlds for me and a lot of fun for Buzz, too.

I’m still laser-focused on the June 24, 2022 Rally National Championships so we’ll spent time training each day as well.

In an update about this national show, I now know the names of the judges for this championship competition, but still do not know where it will take place.

I also don’t know which of the judges will be in the ring when we enter, but there are two familiar names on the list who Buzz and I showed to this fall with great success.

The other judges are new to us and that, too, will be exciting to see how we stack up in their eyes — against the best of the best dogs in the country in the championship class.

I’m also planning to have a friend take some video of Buzz and I training since folks have asked what we do in the Rally ring and I’ll post that this winter as well.

But before this happens, I want to thank the fabulous people who have generously donated to Chelsea Update. If you would like to make a non-tax deductible donation of any amount to my efforts, you can use the donate button (thru Paypal) on the top of the home page. Or, you can send a check made out to Chelsea Update and mail it to 18829 Bush Road, Chelsea, MI 48118.
