Publisher’s Message: Thank You to May’s Donors to Chelsea Update

Taking a little break from the large cross-stitch pieces I usually work on throughout the year with these cheery little chickadees recently back from Saline Framing Company.

The calendar pages keep flipping, and as such, Chelsea Update inches closer and closer to its 10-year anniversary, which takes place on July 23.

Without your support, I’d never have made it this far, so thank you, everyone, who has made non-tax deductible donations. For those of you who know me well, I’d rather be writing, photographing, editing, uploading and coding your local news than asking readers donations.

But, along with the local companies and organizations that support Chelsea Update with advertising, reader support is an equally important piece of the ongoing operations of Chelsea Update. You have helped me to be able to pay the publication’s freelance staff of Crystal Hayduk , Lisa Carolin, Burrill Strong and Alan Ashley, every day and especially throughout COVID when other publications shut down.

Chelsea Update continues to provide you with daily news 365 days a year.

So thank you so much to the folks who sent non-deductible donations to our collective efforts in May. And if you haven’t supported our efforts, please consider doing so.

You’ll note the list is much shorter than in previous months, and I’m guessing with everything costing more, folks are more focused on putting food on the table and gas in your vehicles. That’s totally understandable.
