The Chelsea Area Historical Society returns with a historic homes tour on Dec. 11. This year, there is a healthy twist – an exterior walking tour focused on the many historical homes on a single block – the first block of E. Middle Street.
(Tours in future years will focus on other blocks in town).
This year’s tours will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11 with one-hour+ tours starting at 2:00, 2:30; 3:00 and 3:30.
Each tour will start with a presentation at the CAHS Museum and then a very short walk to the start of the tour (total tour distance – the equivalent of walking less than 3 blocks).
Guides will provide background details on most of the 15 houses. This will be an exterior-only tour but finish inside the Chelsea House Victorian Inn for refreshments and a tour of the first floor of this magnificent house.
Tour groups will be limited to 15 people.
Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased in advance.
Tickets can be purchased at the CAHS website (www.chelseahistory.org) or in person at the CAHS museum from noon to 3:00 Saturdays (128 Jackson St. across from the train depot).
