Arlene (Martin) Larson of Chelsea, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Ann Arbor.
She was born on March 6, 1923, the daughter of Elsa (Schiller) Martin and Edward Martin. She married Darrell “Swede” Larson in June 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1978.
Arlene was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea and taught Sunday school for many years, which she loved. She worked for 23 years as the director of the County nutrition program in Chelsea, which provides a daily hot meal for seniors in the area of Chelsea, Manchester, and Dexter.
