Ronald Stephen Cubberly of Brooklyn, Michigan, age 74, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, in his home with his family at his side.
He was born August 28, 1949, in Tecumseh, Michigan, the son of George and Thelma (Bryan) Cubberly.
Ron was a Chelsea High School graduate, class of ‘67. He served in the US Navy in Viet Nam, serving from 1968 – 1971, as a Boiler Operator on a Destroyer Tender. Ron then worked for General Motors for 35 years, in Ypsilanti, in Hydramatic and Powertrain. Ron was a member of the Moose Lodge in Brooklyn, and a former member of the Eagles Club #2154 in Ann Arbor.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, from noon – 4 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 10160 Jackson Road, Dexter, MI 48130.

Donald Keith Lamphere of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of Cadillac, age 92, died peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home.
He was born February 21, 1931, in Cadillac, MI, the son of Alfred C. and Mary Belle (Lanning) Lamphere.
Don graduated from Cadillac High School in 1948. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952-54. Don attended Central Michigan College, where he obtained his Bachelors (1958) and Masters degrees (1962). He was a teacher and Principal at Suttons Bay and Cadillac Area Schools.
Don was an active member of Temple Hill Baptist church in Cadillac, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, deacon, mission boards, building committee, and as a pastor of a mission church. Since 2017, he attended Chelsea Church of the Nazarene. He was also involved in Gideons International for more than 40 years. Don and Hilma enjoyed wintering in Mercedes, TX from 1991 to 2015.
Don’s memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, 11:00 am at the Chelsea Church of the Nazarene, 12126 Jackson Rd, Dexter, MI 48130, with Rev. Jeff Crowder officiating. The family will greet people from 10-11 am on the day of the service.

Michelle Ann Welch of Ypsilanti, Michigan, age 41, died Saturday, November 25, 2023, at her residence.
She was born March 13, 1982, in Wayne, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Dayton and Sheila (Bischler) Love. Michelle attended Chelsea High School (class of 2000).
