Recent obituary: Harvey L. Lentz

Harvey L. Lentz of Chelsea, age 93, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.

He was born April 29, 1926 in Milan, Michigan, the son of Lester and Florence (Gruetzke) Lentz.

Harvey graduated from Milan High School in 1944, and attended U of M.  He served in the US Army during WWII.  Harvey was a process engineer who worked at GM Hydromatic until his retirement in 1982.  He built several houses and drew plans for a subdivision that he lived in.

He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chelsea.  Harvey was musical, playing the French Horn when he was young, and singing in the choir.   His hobbies included sailing, walking, and woodworking.  Most of all, he enjoyed staying home with his family and being at the cottage on Wamplers Lake.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 21, 1 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chelsea, with Rev. Daniel Pezzica officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel Sunday from 1-5 p.m. and at the church Monday from noon-1 p.m.
