John A. Poole of Pinckney, age 78, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Chelsea Community Hospital.
He was born Jan. 12, 1936 in Detroit, the son of John H. and Lydia (Krause) Poole. John was a truck driver, working for commercial and Ryder truck carriers. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He enjoyed deer hunting, sports, and cowboy movies.

Glenda Doreen Stinnett, of Chelsea, age 89, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Chelsea Retirement Community.
She was born on March 29, 1925, in Comstock, MI, the daughter of Edward R. and Harriet B. (Hamilton) Ebert.
Glenda had served in the United States Navy Waves during World War II. On April 13, 1956, she married Frederick Stinnett Jr. in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2013.
Glenda had lived in the area since 1969, coming from Dearborn, and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chelsea. She enjoyed quilting and especially her cats.
