John Richard Fill of Chelsea, age 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019 at his home in Chelsea.
He was born Aug. 8, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of John and Marie (Kimbler) Fill.
John worked for Ford for more than 30 years, retiring in 1989. He served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1957. John was an avid hunter and fisherman, and lived on Lake Winnawana for many years. He remained active in retirement, doing craft shows and wood working. He also enjoyed bowling.
A celebration of John’s life will be held Monday, May 27, 1 p.m. at the Chelsea Church of the Nazarene, 12126 Jackson Road, Dexter, with Rev. Jeff Crowder officiating.
