La Vonne M. Harris of Jackson, formerly of Chelsea, age 81, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019 at her home in Jackson.
She was born March 10, 1938 in Washington DC, the daughter of Russell and Beulah (Schlotman) Maryott.
La Vonne was a member of the Community of Christ in Ann Arbor. She was a piano and organ teacher for many years, and was a member of the Ann Arbor Piano Teachers Guild. La Vonne was also a member of Modern Mothers in Chelsea.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, 2 p.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Seventy John Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea. The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon – 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
