Melvin Lee Underhile Sr. of Grass Lake, age 79, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 4, 1940 in Olmsted, Illinois, the son of Melvin F. and Barbara A. (Caswell) Underhile.
Melvin graduated from Marion High School in Illinois, then served in the US Marine Corp for 4 years. He worked for Johnson Control in Manchester for 25 years. Melvin enjoyed bowling, golf and Euchre.
The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel, Sunday, Sept. 20. Please call the funeral home at 734-475-1551 to schedule a time to visit. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, Sept. 21, 5 p.m. at Lee’s home, 919 E. Michigan Ave., Grass Lake.
