Recent obituaries: Sharleen Eisenbeiser, Michael Claude Gipson

Sharleen Eisenbeiser of Chelsea, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in Chelsea.

She was born June 1, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Everett G. and Beatrice A. (Job) Seamans.

Shar graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1956. She attended U of M Nursing school, graduating in 1960. Shar worked as a nurse at U of M for a few years, and then as a public health nurse in the Flint area.

She left nursing to raise her children, then went to work at Chelsea Community Hospital as a Unit Secretary in the early 80’s, and retired after 25 years. Shar was an active member of Chelsea First United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and worked on various committees and fund raisers.

She was a member of PEO, Adult Learning Institute, which she helped start, and Chelsea Seniors, serving on the board for several years. Shar and Bill were members of the Inverness Country Club. She was active in the U of M Nurses Alumni, and in several bridge groups.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring of 2021.

Michael Claude Gipson of Jackson, age 56, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in Jackson.

He was born Feb. 27, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Claude J. Gipson and Mary Jo (Apel) Boyer.

Mike graduated from Chelsea High School in 1982, and worked at Terumo from 1988 until the time of his death. Mike enjoyed bowling at Chelsea Lanes and was an avid Playstation gamer.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, 1:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery in  Sylvan Center. The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020. Due to Covid restrictions, please call 475-1551 to schedule a time to greet the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
