Silver Maples of Chelsea welcomes Reed-Works Saxophone Quartet to the Kaleidoscope Concert series lineup, and the group will play on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.

The quartet’s repertoire includes a full range of musical styles including jazz, classical, and some off-beat treasures, like “The Flight of the Bumble Bee,” said Shawn Personke, director of activities and public relations for Silver Maples, in a press release.

“The K-concert series has always brought in top name talent for the concerts,” she said, adding, “Most of the groups are juried by the Michigan Humanities Council, and the Reed-Works Saxophone Quartet is no exception.”

The musicians play eight different instruments and many different types of music.

Originally funded by the Chelsea Community Foundation, the series is now funded through donations from community members and businesses. The November concert is sponsored by Michael and Ann Feeney.

The Kaleidoscope Concert is held at Silver Maples, 100 Silver Maples Dr. The concerts are free, but tickets, available at the Chelsea Senior Center, are required.
