The monthly Art for Life series continues on Friday, July 19 from 9:30-11:30 p.m. with “Art through the Ages: Looking at Art” at the Chelsea Senior Center.

Taught by Lisa Baylis Gonzalez, executive director of Chelsea Center for the Arts, everyone’s invited to learn how to view, understand and appreciate art. Participants will consider things like materials and methods, formal elements (line, color, composition), subject matter, and the cultural context in which the art was created.

Examples of significant works of art from ancient times to the present will be explored.

There are still spaces available, so please register, by calling 475-9242.

The series is a partnership between Veo Art Studio and the Chelsea Senior Center.
