Reminder: 2 family Easter activities this weekend

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt and Kim Bass for the information in this story.)

On Saturday, March 31, the Chelsea High School Key Club will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Chelsea Retirement Community beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Children may visit with the Easter Bunny beginning at 9:30 a.m. on the front lawn. Then the bunny will signal each of three age groups, beginning with the youngest, to begin hunting for those eggs. There will be a treat in each egg, and some will have a slip of paper which can be exchanged for a prize.

On Sunday, April 1, Chelsea Free Methodist Church plans to welcome hundreds of sugar-crazed kids onto the Washington St. Education Center Football Practice Field following the church’s Easter Sunday Gathering where 10,000 marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter.

Three ages groups will “scramble” to pick up marshmallows to redeem for candy: 5 years old and under, 6-7 and 8-11 years old. This is a free event for community but keep in mind that Adverse weather conditions may cause cancellation. Check here for updates.
