This is a reminder that the St. Louis Guanella Council 3092 Knights of Columbus annual chicken broil on Aug. 24 will be held at a new location this year.
A tradition on the Saturday of the Chelsea Community Fair, visitors craving this parade day meal will be able to use a drive thru at St. Mary Church, 14200 Old US-12 to order and receive their meal.
The new location is just up the road from the long-time previous location.
Meals will be available beginning at 11 a.m. until sold out. Included in the meal is a half chicken, coleslaw, chips, cookies and a roll for $10.
There will also be drinks for $1 and a dish of ice cream also for $1. Offered will be a dish of vanilla, chocolate or vanilla/chocolate swirl.
These traditional chicken dinners sell out fast so be sure to get there early to get your pre-parade meal.
All proceeds benefit local charities.
