The Chelsea Center for the Arts and Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new visual art classroom on Thursday, Jan. 10 at noon.

Funded by a grant from the Worthington Family Foundation, the original garage structure of the CCA building has been fully renovated for use as a year-round visual art classroom, with all new heating, cooling, insulation, plumbing, walls, electrical, lighting, doors and windows, and surfaces.

Riemco Building Company, of Chelsea, served as the general contractor for the project, donating a substantial portion of its fee back to the CCA. Subcontractors on the project also provided services at discounted rates.
