Senior center’s SENIORita Petunia wins Chelsea United Way ‘Feed the Pig’ contest

For the second year in a row, the Chelsea Area Senior Center’s SENIORita Petunia won the Chelsea United Way “Feed the Pig Contest” on Sept. 13 as the most popular piggy bank.

She was chosen as the most popular pig among those donating to the kick-off of this year’s local United Way donation campaign.

The United Way of Chelsea is an all-volunteer group who depend on the community to donate to the cause that assists thousands of local kids, families, teens, adults and seniors through its member agencies.

These member agencies include the American Red Cross, Chelsea Grace Clinic, Chelsea Recreation Council, Senior Area Senior Center, Faith in Action, Parents as Teachers, St. Louis Center and Washtenaw Area Value Express.
