Sept. 11: Dedication Ceremony for New Chelsea Historical Society’s ‘Fire House’ Museum

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bill O’Reilly for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea Area Historical Society (CAHS) will hold a dedication ceremony at their museum, 128 Jackson St. (opposite the Chelsea Train Depot) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11.

Visitors will be able to see the newly constructed CAHS Fire House, which houses an antique fire wagon and other significant items tied to fires in Chelsea history and our fire department.

Fire and Police Department leaders will be on hand as we also recognize the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and remember in particular our First Responders everywhere.

The new Fire House and expanded Founder Room and other physical improvement were made possible by a grant from the Chelsea Foundation.

All are welcome to this event and to tour the museum.

Questions can be directed to: [email protected] or call 734-476-2010. More details at the CAHS website: www.ChelseaHistory.org.
