The Chelsea Farmers Markets pride themselves on locally grown vegetables, fruits, and herbs as well as locally baked breads, cakes, and cookies.

In September and October, thanks to local source Marie Rose and her parents, the market is also the place to buy Shoreline Wild Salmon, a product of Southeast Alaska. That’s where Rose and her partners have their salmon fishing business. They provide hook-and-line caught wild salmon.

You’ll find 1-pound packages of coho burger at Shoreline Wild Salmon as well as vacuum sealed, frozen king and coho salmon and smoked salmon is 8-ounce jars.

The Saturday market is located at Palmer Commons and is open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

Apples, pears, and plums are the popular fruits this time of year, and apple cider should be available Saturday. You’ll also find beans, beets, corn, tomatoes and herbs.
