Here’s a chance to meet area folks from years past.
The 9th North Lake Cemetery Walk has some special guests this year: (1) FRANK STAFFAN, builder of North Lake Church and creator of a Chelsea funeral home. He chats with one of the area’s pioneers.
(2) CAPTAIN EDWIN PEARCE, a Detroit area minister who spent much time in the area, remembers the church in the early 1900’s.
(3) REVEREND HERBERT BRUBAKER, pastor at North Lake from 1937-1940, recalls funerals of two brothers from the Hudson family.
(4) PHIL BRIER discusses life near the lake and his heroic service during WWII.
WHEN: Sept. 15, 2-3:30. Meet at North Lake Church, 14111 North Territorial Road and you will be transported to the cemetery.
In case of rain, event will take place at the church.
