Sold Out: Chelsea American Legion Post 31 Thanks Chelsea Community

File photo.

In just two hours, all 512 chicken dinners sold out on July 4 during the Chelsea American Legion Post 31 Annual Chicken BBQ.

“Chelsea American Legion Post 31 would like to thank members of the Chelsea community for their tremendous outpouring of support for our annual chicken broil on the Fourth of July,” said Craig Maier,  financial officer for the Legion.

He also thanked the Sons of the American Legion, who organize the annual event, all the volunteers, Legion members and spouses who helped make the event a huge success.

(Publisher’s note: I was one of the folks who took home four of the more than 500 chicken dinners and if you missed the event this year, you truly missed out. The chicken, as always, was fabulous as were the side dishes. This event is a great way to celebrate the Fourth of July, get a yummy meal and support local veterans at the same time. What a win-win-win for everyone involved.)
