Some scenes from Chelsea’s Halloween

A scene from the downtown Halloween party.
Yikes that's a scary costume.

Children and their parents roamed the streets of Chelsea during the later Halloween hours this year, many of them stopping by the joint party and costume contest sponsored by the Chelsea Free Methodist Church and the Chelsea Kiwanis Club.

Little witches and gobblins, princesses and princes, dogs and cats and mice and lambs played games, ate donuts and drank hot chocolate and cider at the party in the parking lot at Cole Funeral Chapel.

The church and the Kiwanis joined forces this year for the block party at the corner of East Middle and East streets.

There were free carnival-style games and candy prizes including pumpkin sweep before the annual costume judging.
