Calling all artists.

Sounds & Sights Festival Art Market is an indie arts and crafts fair coinciding with a variety of festivities and attractions associated with the Chelsea Sounds & Sights Festival.

In its 39th year and held in downtown Chelsea, the event draws over 12,000 visitors annually and features national and regional live music acts, local food and brew, a sculpture walk and activities for the entire family.

The Art Market is a juried event limited to 30 local and regional arts and crafts people of exceptional quality.

Artists willing to demonstrate their processes are also highly sought.

The festival begins Thursday, July 24 with the Art Market on Friday and Saturday, July 26-27 from noon to 8 p.m.

The booth fee is $100 for the weekend and demonstrating artists participate for the reduced rate of $50.

This year, more than ever, we are seeking unique exhibitors to “freshen, edge and hip-up” this annual event, according to information about the call for artists.

River Gallery + Exhibits is the program coordinator and can be reached at 433-0826 or via email at [email protected].

  1. I am interested in exhibiting in this event. Please check out my website to see if my work is something that you’d be interested in. Some of my pieces are also on display/sale at Shabby Chic, on Old US 12. Thank you for your consideration. 🙂

    • Hi Nicole:
Please contact the nice folks at River Gallery — their contact information is in the story — to speak to them about it.

  2. Hey Lisa – the thursday of the festival is July 25. It is still a normal Sounds & Sights
Thursday night with expanded programming including the food court and Main
    Stage event. –Sue
