The St. Louis Center recently recognized and celebrated those who have given their time and talents to the residential facility that serves persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This year, bd’s Mongolian Grill of Ann Arbor stepped up to donate a special dinner for 275 people at St. Louis Center’s 30th Annual Recognition Dinner.

Led by Marketing Director Daniele Hughes, a Chelsea High School graduate, Hughes and her staff worked with the St. Louis Center Parents’ Association to provide a wonderful selection of dishes for the large crowd, said Joe Yekulis.

Before the dinner, a special Mass was celebrated by Good Shepherd Award winner Fr. William Wegher of St. Mary, Pinckney and the priests of the Servants of Charity, which was followed by the dedication of a special needs playground built for the residents during the summer of 2012.
