At the July 7 Sylvan Township Board meeting, Supervisor Tom McKernan announced that he was resigning his elected office for personal reasons.
The board then unanimously appointed long-time trustee Kurt Koseck as interim supervisor until the upcoming November election.
Koseck was elected to the township board eight years ago and also serves as the township’s representative to the Chelsea Area Fire Authority.
