This year’s 3rd annual Taste of Chelsea fundraising event for St. Louis Center was held at the Chelsea Community Fairgrounds on Oct. 5 and continued to receive tremendous support from the local community.

A total of 19 restaurants and café’s participated in this year’s benefit, and 200 people attended.

Participants included: Arctic Breakaway, Bearclaw Coffee, Biggby Coffee, Chelsea Big Boy, Common Grill, Cottage Inn Pizza, Glee Cake & Pastry, Jiffy Mix, Jimmy John’s, Laura’s Catering, Main St. Coney Island, New Chelsea Market, Polly’s Country Market Deli, Reddeman Farms, Smokehouse 52 BBQ, Stiver’s, Thompson’s Pizza, Zou Zou’s Café, and Zingerman’s.

Village Motor Sales served as this year’s corporate sponsor, and table sponsors included Chelsea Chiropractic Center, Atty. Susan Brown, Dan’s Side St. Garage, IHA Family and Internal Medicine, Atty. Susan Zale, Nancy Hrozencik & Family, and Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home.

According to Rev. Enzo Addari, administrator of St. Louis Center, “This was truly a community wide event and we are grateful to everyone who came out to support St. Louis Center this year. We couldn’t have done this without all the behind the scenes support from members of the Knights of Columbus, their wives, and the many talented people we have in this community who put this all together. Thank you so much to all of these great restaurants, café’s, and others who were here to show their love for our residents with developmental disabilities.”
