Time running out to donate to Toys for Tots and Teens

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Patti Schick for the information in this story.)

For over 20 years, toys have been collected at the Palmer Auto Service building for Toys for Tots and Teens.

This program was started many years ago by Suzie Palmer Weber, and she reached out to the Chelsea Schools and Jiffy Mix employees who have continued to give so generously to help our local children. The toys collected are taken to Faith in Action in Chelsea and they are distributed to our local children and teens.

Christmas is a time of giving and what better way to give than to our neighbors and friends in need. If you would like to be part of this annual tradition, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Palmer Auto Service building on Main Street and put it under the tree.

The toys will be taken to Faith in Action on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at noon, so please hurry.  We always need gifts for teens.
