In Lima Township, there was an 81.74 percent voter turnout according to unofficial totals from Washtenaw County with 2,910 ballots cast of the 3,560 total registered voters.
William VanRiper (R) received 1,657 votes for supervisor. Duane Luick ran as a write in and there were 91 unassigned write in votes, the validity of how many votes he received has not yet been certified by the canvassers.
Ann Kwaske ran for clerk as a write-in candidate and there were 263 unassigned write-in votes. Exactly how many votes she received is not yet available on the county website.
Nanette Havens (R) got 1,591 votes for treasurer. There were 43 unassigned write-in votes.
In a three-way race for trustee with two positions open, Greg McKenzie (R) got 1,421 votes, Dale Luick received 1,240 votes and Jennifer Evens (NPA) was third with 783 votes.
In Sylvan Township, Amanda Nimke (D) received 1,498 votes to Scott Cooper’s (R) 952 votes for supervisor according to unofficial totals from Washtenaw County.
Doug Jackson, who ran unopposed for clerk, received 1,520 votes.
In the treasurer’s race, Sandra Egeler (D) received 1,357 votes while Trenda Eversole (R) got 1,072 votes.
Kurt Koseck (D) (1,489) and Sandra Schulze (D) (1,390) were re-elected as trustees.
There was an 80.70 percent voter turnout. Of the possible 3,213 registered voters, 2,593 ballots were cast.
