US News & World Report: Chelsea High School ranked 33rd in State of Michigan

In a recent ranking from “US News and World Report,” Chelsea High School (CHS) was ranked 33rd among Michigan High Schools and 24th in traditional public schools.

“Although the U.S. News and World Report ranking is only one metric in measuring our overall effectiveness as a high school, I am very proud that CHS has consistently been recognized as one of the best high schools in Michigan dating back to 2011,” said Chelsea High School Principal Mike Kapolka.

“We are very proud of our Chelsea School District students and staff at all levels of school for their recognition in U.S. News for best high schools,” said Superintendent Julie Helber.

The full story is here.

“As you dig a bit deeper into the rankings, CHS was the 24th ranked traditional public school and was also the 2nd smallest high school in Michigan to make the top 25 (the majority of the other schools range from 2,300 – 1,100 students),” Kapolka said.
