St. Paul’s United Church of Christ of Chelsea is once again offering the opportunity for international students to experience our area while building friendships between students and a community through the Christmas International House (CIH) program.

This program is conducted nationally from Dec. 18, 2014-Jan. 2, 2015, and this is the second year of St. Paul’s participation as a host church.

It is a great opportunity for Chelsea folks to meet persons from a different culture, enriching both our town and our guests.

Many local people helped entertain Suhhee Song, our 2013 South Korean guest, and took her to local spots of interest including a tour of the “Jiffy” Mix plant, attending St. Paul church, visiting the Henry Ford Museum, visiting Encore and the Purple Rose theatres, shopping at a large mall, learning about country dancing and quilting, volunteering for Meals on Wheels at the Senior Center, going caroling in Chelsea and baking cookies, visiting in a South Korean home with traditional foods, and visiting the University of Michigan, the Chelsea Wellness Center, Silver Maples, and the Toledo, Ohio Light Festival of Lights.

If you are interested in finding out more about this program, please call St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at 734-475-2545
