Washtenaw Whippets field hockey team downs Cranbrook, 1-0

The Washtenaw Whippets field hockey team put together a defensive gem on Tuesday, Oct. 7 against Cranbrook.

Kelly Bertoni had two key goal line defensive saves to help keep Cranbrook scoreless.

Maggie Cole scored the lone goal with 4:15 left in the second half to give the Whippets the 1-0 win.

The team has a 7-1-2 record and plays its last regular season home game next Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 4:15 p.m. against the Academy of Sacred Heart.

The game will be played behind Pierce Lake School and admission is free.
