The Washtenaw Whippets field hockey team shut out Gross Point South, 3-0 in a game played on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Maggie Cole scored two goals, while Kayla Hewitt notched the first goal for the Whippets.
Cole was credited with an assist as was Gabby Wink.

With less than two minutes on the clock, the Washtenaw Whippet’s Kayla Hewitt scored against Gross Point South with an assist from Maggie Cole.
Cole then went on to score two more goals in the second half with an assist from Gabby Wink.
Although the weather was unbearably hot, the Whippets played their game with speed and efficiency. Everyone remembered to cover and pressure and use the back pass effectively.
The Whippets also dominated by keeping possession of the ball throughout most of the game, only allowing the ball to cross their defensive 25-yard line once.
The Whippets dominated with a 3-0 win with Hannah Moore earning another shutout.
