Update: The Chelsea City Water Department has the break isolated, so there are only a few places that are affected.
The water is fine, although it may be brown to begin with, and residents should run their water until it runs clear.
There has been a water main break at Hayes and West North Street near Jiffy Milling, which may be affecting your water pressure.
Crews are working on the problem now.
The Chelsea District Schools sent out a note to parents at North Creek that there is minimal pressure in the school building.
“We will not be closing school early, though you may feel inclined to pick up your child early,” the message states.
The break happened at about 12:45 Thursday afternoon.
