Waterloo Couple Loses Everything in House Fire; Donations Requested

Mike and Angie Holik experienced a devastating fire Sunday morning, destroying their home in the Village of Waterloo.

They, their son, and their pets all got out safely, unfortunately they lost everything.

Chelsea First United Methodist Church has graciously offered its facility as a drop-off point for clothing donations for the family (they are not able to accept household items or furniture at this time). The church is located at 128 Park St. Please go to www.chelseaumc.org for directions and hours.

Size wise Jacob is like 14-16 shirts maybe 12-14 pants large kid shorts. Then he is 3 1/2 or 4 shoes. Angie is 10 pants, large shirts, 8 shoes. Mike is large shirt, 32-34 pants, and 9 1/2 shoes.

Jacob loves Dr Seuss books and Matchbox cars.

Another great suggestion for things the family will need are prepaid gas cards, gift cards to restaurants and drive-thru places and gift cards for Meijer/Kohl’s and other retailers.  And you can drop those off at the church as well.

There is an ongoing GoFundMe campaign that many have generously donated to.

Thanks to CFUMC and the community for their love and support.
