The Washtenaw Area Transportation Study (WATS) has published its DRAFT 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for Washtenaw County.
WATS is responsible for administering the federal transportation planning process in Washtenaw County. As part of this process, WATS collaborates with a range of stakeholders to develop a 25-year transportation vision, as tasked by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
WATS believes the plan’s ambitious goals will only be achieved if they truly reflect the shared values of the community. To ensure the vision outlined in this plan accurately addresses the transportation needs of Washtenaw County residents and visitors, WATS depends on collaboration from outside agencies.
Whether you’ve already submitted comments, or are providing input for the first time, we kindly request you review the draft plan and submit your thoughts, concerns, or recommendations. The public comment period will end at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.
The plan includes a list of goals, investment strategies, and performance measures related to the transportation system, in addition to both a list and map of planned transportation improvements. The plan, an interactive map of projects, and the plan development time is available at http://www.miwats.org/2050lrtp.
