Chelsea Superintendent of Schools Andy Ingall would like parents and students to know that on Wednesday, Aug. 28, district staff will be at a welcome back luncheon at 11 a.m. at Chelsea High School.
Following the lunch, they will be boarding buses and heading to Eastern Michigan University for a program for the remainder of the day.
So if you need to reach anyone in the district, it closed from 11 a.m. until the end of business hours on Wednesday, Aug. 28, he said.
However, there will be a series of open houses at North Creek, South Meadow and Beach Middle Wednesday evening. Each will last about 2 and a half hours to give parents with children at different schools a chance to get to get to several, if necessary.
The North Creek Elementary School open house begins at 5:00 p.m.
The South Meadows Elementary School open house begins at 5:30 p.m.
Beach Middle School will hold an open house for 7th graders and their parents beginning at 6 p.m. and for 8th graders and their parents beginning at 7 p.m.
The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Then on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6:30 p.m., there will be an open house for 6th grade at Beach Middle School.
Also on Thursday Sept. 5, there will be an open house at Chelsea High School beginning at 6:30 p.m.
