West Washtenaw Business Association (WWBA) recently named Costco its Business of the Year and Teresa Miller, Howard Hannah Realtor, its member of the year.

Both recipients continually give back to the organization and to the community.

Costco is very involved in community outreach. They support businesses within the community by providing personalized cake at grand openings. They provided both products and more monetary donations to charities such as United Way, Saline Social Services, Ypsilanti Social Services, Chad Tough, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Walkathon, local schools, fire and police stations, and local non-profit organizations. Costco also participated in backpack programs at local elementary schools and gives back in many ways to the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce, Chelsea Area Festivals and Events and Hatch Stamping.

After working for the State of Michigan for 29 years, Miller decided to shift her career and become a real estate agent so that she could pursue her true passion in life – helping the members of her community and is a real estate agent with Howard Hanna in Chelsea.

She is a multi-million-dollar producer, part of the Howard Hanna Champions Club, and has received such awards as the National Sales Excellence Award and the Superior Qualify Service Award. She is also an active member of and an ambassador for the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce and, of course, actively involved in the West Washtenaw Business Association.

There were numerous recipients of the Brick award – Sapphire Therapeutic Spa, Go to Roofing, Verizon Wireless Zone of Ann Arbor, and Clueless Escape Rooms. These businesses have completed interior, exterior, and building upgrades to enhance the WWBA business community.
