The Fall 2014 Chelsea High School Boys Cross Country team has close to 30 members, many of whom attended a preparatory camp at the Brighton Recreation Area in mid-August.
The camp, which featured team building exercises and intra-squad competitions as well as daily training runs, culminated in a 5K time trial on Friday, Aug. 15.
Coach Eric Swager said not only did many runners set personal record times, “more than half of the runners broke 20 minutes.”
“If we keep working hard, it looks like another successful season is ahead of us,” he said.
