The Chelsea freshmen football team moved to 3-0 with a 40-8 victory at Lincoln on Thursday.

Joe Taylor scored a touchdown on the ground and one on a punt return. Tyler Valik had two rushing touchdowns. A.J.  Tokarski had a rushing touchdown. Jacob Parker caught a touchdown from Griffen Murphy.  Murphy also had an interception in the game.

Brian Morgans, Kemp Goehman, Dillon Hutchison, Brandon Merkel, and Nick Tolliver all played strong games up front on both sides of the ball. Mitchell Sumner, Corbin Steele, and Chase Kemp led the Bulldogs with 6 tackles each.

“Lincoln didn’t have a full squad so they were in a tough situation,” said coach Dennis Strzyzewski. “I’m glad we could go in and play decently early in the game.”

“I think the kids are enjoying playing together, and I just hope we can continue to grow as a team that plays for each other.”
