Coach Loren Thorburn called Tuesday’s duel meet “a tough loss against an up-and-coming Tecumseh squad.”
Despite the 70-67 Bulldog loss to Tecumseh, he said, “There were a number of solid performances by individuals and areas we need to strengthen as move onto to Dexter Tuesday.”
Highlights:
- Senior Lily Francsico placed 1st in the discus and 2nd in the shot put (placing her in the top ten of all time in Chelsea history of lady shot put throwers).
- Senior Hannah Almhiemid with four 1st place finishes: High jump, 100m hurdles, 4x200m relay, and 300m hurdles.
- Freshman Myranda Montoye with 1st in the 400 dash and 4×200 relay and 2nd in the 200m dash.
- Sophmore Allison Hause with gritty performances in the 4×800 relay, 1600m run, and 3200m run.
