The Chelsea Volleyball team ended its season 37-15-4 and was district champions.
The team celebrated the season at the annual volleyball banquet, and multiple awards given out to the team and players.
The team earned the MIVCA All-State Team Academic Award, for having a 3.3 cumulative GPA.
Three seniors were recognized for carrying a 3.7 cumulative GPA, as MIVCA Academic All-State: Alise Hale, Audrey Phillips and Nina White.
The SEC Sportsmanship award went to Alise Hale, for being a great role model for Chelsea Athletics.
The SEC White Division All Conference awards were handed out to the following:
Honorable Mention White Division: Audrey Phillips and Alise Hale
First Team White Division: Nina White, Peyton Vandegrift, Madeleine Kennedy
MIVCA All Region: Nina White and Madeleine Kennedy
MIVCA Honorable Mention All-State: Nina White
MIVCA All State 3rd Team: Madeleine Kennedy
“It was a great season with a great group of girls, who I enjoyed coaching,” said coach Laura Cleveland. “We wish our seniors the best and look forward to a great season next year.”
