Human Rights Commission finalizing survey for organizations, individuals

By Lisa Carolin

The Chelsea Human Rights Commission (HRC) is getting closer to offering its survey for the public to complete.

There will be both a survey for organizations and one for individuals.

HRC members made some changes to the survey for individuals at its Jan. 17 meeting. Individuals filling out the survey will have the option of checking that they are a member of the Chelsea school district, or from an adjacent township, or “other”.

The HRC will use both an online and a paper survey.

Members are currently working on a list of locations where paper surveys will be available as well as collection boxes for people to drop off completed surveys.

At the Jan. 17 meeting, it was announced that Chelsea City Council Member Cheri Albertson will be the council’s liaison to the HRC.
