Sept. 21: League of Women Voters’ congressional forum

In advance of the general election on Nov. 8, the League of Women Voters of the Ann Arbor Area (LWV-AAA) is sponsoring “Tour de Candidates” forums, which launch in Chelsea on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

The Chelsea forum spotlights the U.S. Congressional seat representing Michigan’s 7th District. Vying for the seat is incumbent U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg (R) and State Rep. Gretchen Driskell (D-Saline).

This event is free and open to all and will be held at the Chelsea Retirement Community Chapel, 805 W. Middle St., at 6:30 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through education and advocacy.
