Sept. 23: nature trail run and celebration at Robin Hills Farm

Robin Hills Farm (RHF) will hold its third annual Robin Run 5K obstacle race on the property’s nature trails. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 9am-12pm, and feature adventure races for all ages.

The 5K challenge, for ages 12 and up, traverses RHF’s nature trails throughout the 129-acre farm, with an expanded and upgraded obstacle course that includes a cargo climb, pallet maze, dune climb, creek trudge, rope spider web, and much more. Children ages 5-12 can participate in a 1K mini-sprint obstacle race on the main course, and a special Kid Zone sprint course will also be available for those not yet ready to take on the trails.

Races will start at 9 a.m. with the kids’ mini-sprint obstacle challenge and Heat 1 of the 5K. Subsequent heats will then start every 30 minutes. Participants may choose to register for Heat 1 (9am), Heat 2 (9:30am), Heat 3 (10am), Heat 4 (10:30), or Heat 5 (11am).

The Kid Zone sprint course will be open for use throughout the event. Refreshments will include Michigan-grown heirloom popcorn, as well as Boxed Water from Holland, MI, and St. Steve’s Elderflower and Ginger Sodas, handmade at Mud Lake Farm in Hudsonville. Robin Hills Farm organic produce and merchandise will also be available for purchase.

All participants will receive an event t-shirt, a Robin Hills Farm fandana, a medal, and a Robin Run temporary tattoo.

Spectator tickets are $5; spectators 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult.
