Quarter-Mania-picture(Chelsea Update would like to thank Patsy Brundage for the information in this story.)

Mark your calendar now for a Quarter Mania benefit for St. Louis Center. Our theme for March is gardening and spring shopping. Check out our Facebook page Columbus Ladies Auxiliary for all the details.

Quarter Mania is a cross between a vendor home party and an auction. At 6 p.m., you can begin to shop ’till you drop” with vendors inside the Columbus Hall and Banquet Center, 8265 Dexter-Chelsea Road, Dexter.

Vendors coming – Fancy Stitch, Premier Designs, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Hearts and Flowers, Owl Hollow Bakery, Pampered Chef, Thirty-One Gifts, Wooden Creations, Youngevity, Usborne Books, Norwex, Beijo Bags, ToasteePups, Love you more from the heart, and Live, Love, Michigan

Special auctions – Items and gift certificates from the Dexter Mill, Hackney Hardware, Tractor Supply, plant sale gift certificates from the St. Joseph Plant Sale (May 14), Dexter Green Day participants (May 21): Dexter Garden Club, Michigan Dahlia Society, American Rhododendron Society, Creekside Plant Sale, and the Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Teams.

At 7 p.m., the Quarter Mania auction begins. Purchase bidding tools 1 for $3 or 2 for $5 etc. Bring plenty of quarters to bid 1-4 quarters on items provided by the vendors. There’s also a mystery table planned.

Don’t know how to play – we will teach you. Here’s a link to learn more about how a Quarter Mania works.

All proceeds benefit the St. Louis Center for people with intellectual and development disabilities.

Call 426-5558 for more information.
